PEARLS OF WISDOM
From Peter's Pearls
Your Cup of Happiness Will Be Overflowing ~ Have absolute faith and confidence that I AM with you always, that I AM guiding and directing you and that I know what is the very best for your growth and development in this spiritual life. No work is too ordinary or mundane when your attitude is right and you realize that you are doing it for Me and to my honour and glory. Life looses all its joy and sparkle when you are thinking of yourselves and of what you can get out of life rather than what you can give to it. Are you feeling that you are not getting enough out of life? Try changing your attitude. Try giving more and more and see what a change will take place within you, for the more you give, the more you will receive, until your cup of happiness will be overflowing and will overflow into the lives of the many. There will no longer be any thought of the self but only of the whole. All you do will be done for the whole and you will become more and more aware of your Oneness with the whole, your oneness with Me, with all Life. ~ Eileen
Perennial Philosophy ~ The basic doctrine of the Perennial Philosophy is that you and I are God herself traveling incognito. The one we all really are is the one reality behind all things -- call it God, Buddha-nature, Atman-Brahman, what you like. What one is doing is only to connect up with and celebrate and live from this perennial wisdom, which is to be found at the very heart of all the great religions. There it is -- unrecognized, neglected, scorned, denied -- but there it is. No mere spark are you of that Eternal Fire, no mere ray of the One Light that lights every man and woman and child that the world comes into. You are all that All, which is strictly indivisible. ~ Open to the Source, by Douglas E. Harding
The Extraordinary Through the Ordinary ~ If suddenly or gradually a wave of creative empowerment flows into what you do, and your activity expands beyond anything you could have imagined, don't let it go to your head, because up there is where a remnant of ego may be hiding. You are still an ordinary human. What is extraordinary is what comes through you into this world. But that essence you share with all beings. The fourteenth-century Persian poet and Sufi master Hafiz expresses this truth beautifully: "I am a hole in a flute that the Christ's breath moves through. Listen to this music." ~ Eckhart Tolle -- A New Earth
Empowered By Consciousness ~ The new earth arises as more and more people discover that their main purpose in life is to bring the light of consciousness into this world and so use whatever they do as a vehicle for consciousness. The joy of Being is the joy of being conscious. Awakened consciousness then takes over from ego and begins to run your life. You may then find that an activity that you have been engaged in for a long time naturally begins to expand into something much bigger when it becomes empowered by consciousness. ~ Eckhart Tolle -- A New Earth
Clinging to the Impermanent ~ We know how thoughts can dictate the quality of our experience. When we are in love, the world is seen as friendly, bright, and lovely. When we are heart-broken, the world is seen as dark, cold, and menacing. Most people experience their self-worth as fluctuating extremes of positive and negative.
The search for more positive experiences, and the avoidance of negative ones, form the common day-to-day strategy of most lives. Unfortunately, if the positive view is clung to and the negative view is run from, the bondage of misidentification continues, and the experience of life remains limited.
This can be hard to accept, because we tend to want to cling to our beautiful states of mind, to happy sensations and wonderful moments. If they could be successfully clung to, then what would be the harm? But all beautiful states of mind are inherently impermanent, so they cannot be successfully clung to.
All states of mind and all feelings arise, exist, and then disappear. Most people spend most of their day avoiding this truth through thought activity. That thought activity is primarily motivated by the desire to get back wonderful feelings from the past, and to get rid of any bad feelings that may arise in the present.

The Alone ~ To realize one's true nature is to realize that one is the only One that is. This is a paradoxical combination of worship, admiration and wonder for the One, while at the same time realizing that all this is the experience of the One by the One. One's own Self-awareness is none other than God's own Self-awareness. The only real remedy for your loneliness is your Aloneness. And this Aloneness is the crown of all experience, the brightest gem in that crown. There is only one, the Alone, and there is only one place where one will find the Alone: Never in others, never out there, but only in 'here', where consciousness is given. Consciousness is only given in one place -- all of it is given here, and all of it is given now. ~ Open to the Source, by Douglas E. Harding.
The Prayer of Silence ~ Awareness of the divine essence as our innermost true self first requires absolute silence and release of all that God is not. It implies no less than turning away from the external toward what lies hidden within. It is a turn from the external, or realm of opposition, to the internal -- the all-embracing totality of divine being. It is the way of meditation beyond objectivity, the way of inner silence before God. Remaining quiet before God is a "prayer of silence" through which we listen to that which secretly speaks to us in the "inner room of the heart." This prayer is the same as what is meant by Jesus' urging: "When you pray, go into your room to your Father who is in the secret place" (Matthhew 6:6) What is hidden deep in our innermost being lies in silence and stillness, and in the silence of the deep springs the eternal, inexhaustible, original source of all being. Countless words trouble the soul; where words fall silent, the everlasting begins. Keeping inwardly silent before God is the implicit precondition for perceiving the everlasting within us. If God is to speak, then all thinking, imagining, and supposing must stay quiet. All faculties must remain silent and prepare a place of inner stillness for God to speak in us. ~ Wolfgang Kopp -- Free Yourself of Everything, www.tao-chan.de
Glory ~ Don't 'believe' but test what I'm saying to you: that all things, never mind what, when consciously observed from their Origin, are bathed in its perfume and lit up with its radiance. There is a glory, Always. To find it, be Where it comes from. No way can you shrug off your mystery and your grandeur. No way can you get out of being -- at the end of the day that has no beginning or end -- the Best and the Greatest, the One and the Only. How much harder it is to bear one's splendor than one's miseries! ~ Open to the Source, by Douglas E. Harding.
The Secret of Successful Action ~ A reversal of your priorities comes about when the main purpose for doing what you do becomes the doing itself, or rather, the current of consciousness that flows into what you do. That current of consciousness is what determines quality. Another way of putting it: In any situation and in whatever you do, your state of consciousness is the primary factor; the situation and what you do is secondary. "Future" success is dependent upon and inseparable from the consciousness out of which the actions emanate. That can be either the reactive force of the ego or the alert attention of awakened consciousness. All truly successful action comes out of that field of alert attention, rather than from ego and conditioned, unconscious thinking. ~ Eckhart Tolle -- A New Earth
Not What But How ~ Awakened doing is the alignment of your outer purpose -- what you do -- with your inner purpose -- awakening and staying awake. Through awakened doing, you become one with the outgoing purpose of the universe. Consciousness flows through you into this world. It flows into your thoughts and inspires them. It flows into what you do and guides and empowers it. Not 'what you do', but 'how you do' what you do determines whether you are fulfilling your destiny. And how you do what you do is determined by your state of consciousness. Eckhart Tolle -- A New Earth
Awakened Doing ~ Awakened doing is the outer aspect of the next stage in the evolution of consciousness on our planet. The closer we get to the end of our present evolutionary stage, the more dysfunctional the ego becomes, in the same way that a caterpillar becomes dysfunctional just before it transforms into a butterfly. But the new consciousness is arising even as the old dissolves. We are in the midst of a momentous event in the evolution of human consciousness, but they won't be talking about it in the news tonight. On our planet, and perhaps simultaneously in many parts of our galaxy and beyond, consciousness is awakening from the dream of form. This does not mean all forms (the world) are going to dissolve, although quite a few almost certainly will. It means consciousness can now begin to create form without losing itself in it. It can remain conscious of itself, even while it creates and experiences form. Why should it continue to create and experience form? For the enjoyment of it. How does consciousness do that? Through awakened humans who have learned the meaning of 'awakened doing'.
Eckhart Tolle -- A New Earth
The Simplicity of Being ~ Since we are so conditioned and attuned to define who we are by particular activities, we spend our lives overlooking the vast ground of stillness that is the simplicity of being. When I speak of the "heart," I am speaking of this same being. When I speak of the core of every phenomenon, being is what I am referring to. When I speak of what is met in self-inquiry, I am also speaking of being, whether it is emotional self-inquiry, such as meeting fear, anger, despair, or mental self-inquiry, such as inquiring into the actual I-thought. To inquire fully into anything is to discover this vast, simple, presence of being - yourself, as you are. Being is not a practice. A practice involves some technique, a right way and a wrong way, a belief in getting someplace, and a reward or attainment. In the truth of absolute stillness, none of that applies. ~ Gangaji ~ The Diamond In Your Pocket
The Invitation to Stop ~ By the time I met my teacher I had attempted many forms of meditation. I had experienced moments of beauty, of transcendence, of true knowing, and yet the underlying longing that accompanied the thoughts, the underlying "How do I get it? How do I keep it? I've got to find a way”, were still operating. When I met Papaji, he told me to stop. He extended to me an invitation that I am happy to extend to you. This moment, stop right where you are. Stop all effort to get whatever you think will give you fulfillment, whatever you think will give you truth. All that is required is one instant of truly stopping. This one instant is elusive for most people, because as they approach the instant of stopping, an enormous welling of fear usually arises: "If I stop, if I really stop, I will slide back and lose the ground that I have gained through my efforts and practices. Even though I am still not fully satisfied, I am more satisfied than I was. I have a better life, my mind is calmer, my circumstances are better, and I might lose all of that." For me, it was quite extraordinary to hear this "stop." I was certain that he was going to give me some secret knowledge - and he did. But it is only secret because it is so obvious. It is not esoteric. I was certain that he would whisper some magical formula in my ear - and he did. He said, "Stop." ~ Gangaji -- The Diamond In Your Pocket
What's Wrong With Old? ~ In our civilization, which is totally identified with the outer and ignorant of the inner dimension of spirit, the word 'old' has mainly negative connotations. It equals useless and so we regard it as almost an insult to refer to someone as old. To avoid the word, we use euphemisms such as elderly and senior. The First Nation "grandmother" is a figure of great dignity. Today’s "granny" is at best cute. Why is old considered useless? Because in old age, the emphasis shifts from doing to Being and our civilization, which is lost in doing, knows nothing of Being. It asks: Being? What do you do with it? ~ Eckhart Tolle -- A New Earth
The Dimension of Depth - Everyone will encounter limitations sooner or later. Those limitations either keep you trapped in egoic reaction, which means intense unhappiness, or you rise above them internally by uncompromising surrender to what is. That is what they are here to teach. The surrendered state of consciousness opens up the vertical dimension in your life, the dimension of depth. Something will then come forth from that dimension into this world, something of infinite value that otherwise would have remained unmanifested. Some people who surrendered to severe limitation become healers or spiritual teachers. Others work selflessly to lessen human suffering or bring some creative gift into this world. ~ Eckhart Tolle -- A New Earth
Not Minding What Happens - When I don't mind what happens, what does that imply? It implies that internally I am in alignment with what happens. "What happens," of course, refers to the 'suchness' of this moment, which always already is as it is. It refers to content, the form that this moment -- the only moment there ever is -- takes. To be in alignment with 'what is' means to be in a relationship of inner nonresistance with what happens. It means not to label it mentally as good or bad, but to let it be. Does this mean you can no longer take action to bring about change in your life? On the contrary. When the basis for your actions is inner alignment with the present moment, your actions become empowered by the intelligence of Life itself. ~ Eckhart Tolle -- A New Earth.
Being Conscious Participants - Behind the sometimes seemingly random or even chaotic succession of events in our lives as well as in the world lies concealed the unfolding of a higher order and purpose. This is beautifully expressed in the Zen saying "The snow falls, each flake in its appropriate place." We can never understand this higher order through thinking about it because whatever we think about is content; whereas, the higher order emanates from the formless realm of consciousness, from universal intelligence. But we can glimpse it, and more than that, align ourselves with it, which means be conscious participants in the unfolding of that higher purpose. ~ Eckhart Tolle -- A New Earth.
Inner Space - Most people define themselves through the content of their lives. Whatever you perceive, experience, do, think, or feel is content. Content is what absorbs most people's attention entirely, and it is what they identify with. When you think or say, "my life;" you are not referring to the life that you are but the life that you 'have', or seem to have. You are referring to content -- your age, health, relationships, finances, work and living situation, as well as your mental-emotional state. The inner and outer circumstances of your life, your past and your future, all belong to the realm of content -- as do events, that is to say, anything that happens. What is there other than content? That which enables the content to be -- the inner space of consciousness. ~ Eckhart Tolle -- A New Earth.
Ungraspable By The Mind - What my teacher offered to me, and what I am offering to you, is very simple. It has nothing to do with acquiring any special power. It has nothing to do with acquiring a particular state of mind. It has nothing to do with any qualities, not even warm, gentle ones. It is about what is eternally, undeniably, uncontrollably, permanently here in every moment, every second, every situation, and every state of mind. Everything that is graspable by the mind, even the most sublime and elevated states, has a birth, an existence, and a death. What is permanently here is ungraspable by the mind because it is not an object. ~ Gangaji -- The Diamond In Your Pocket.
Too Close To Be Reached - The effects of realizing who you really are can be quite exquisite, and there often follows some capacity to articulate it, as we know from holy books and scriptures. But once the thoughts are believed -- "Now I know it, now I understand it, now it is mine" -- the mystery becomes a concept, a story about a moment of truth experienced sometime in the past. The simplicity of the truth is what keeps it out of the reach of any concept, including whatever concepts might be used in the moment to point to it. It is out of reach because it is too close to be reached. Concepts of the mind are distant compared to the closeness of the truth of who you are. ~ Gangaji - The Diamond In Your Pocket.
The Truth of Who You Are - Is there some belief that in order to survive as an individual you have to understand with the mind? As you inquire into the reality of that belief, you can discover that the truth of who you are, consciousness itself, already knows itself, is already in surrender to the mystery of itself, and in this realization you know yourself even more deeply. Whatever understandings follow are secondary, even the most profound understanding of the unity of all existence. The truth of who you are as pure consciousness, the totality of being, is infinitely deeper and vaster than any mental understanding of it.. Gangaji -- The Diamond In Your Pocket.
You must learn one thing. The world was made to be free in. Give up all the other worlds Except the one to which you belong. Sometimes it takes darkness and the sweet Confinement of your aloneness To learn, Anything or anyone That does not bring you alive Is too small for you. ~ David White
Choosing to Step Out - Due to the unprecedented influx of consciousness we are witnessing on the planet now, many people no longer need to go through the depth of acute suffering to be able to disidentify from the pain-body. Whenever they notice they have slipped back into a dysfunctional state, they are able to 'choose' to step out of identification with thinking and emotion and enter the state of Presence. They relinquish resistance, become still and alert, one with what is, within and without. The next step in human evolution is not inevitable, but for the first time in the history of our planet, it can be a conscious choice. Who is making that choice? You are. And who are you? Consciousness that has become conscious of itself. ~ Eckhart Tolle -- A New Earth
Hang Out With Awakened Beings - In the past, when there was conflict in some Chinese community, a Taoist priest would be called in and he would sit there in a nearby hut and just open himself to the chi, or the energy of the environment. He would feel it, experience it, and then open the chi to the light of his own consciousness. It could take a day, a week, sometimes a month, but he'd just expose the chi to the light of his own consciousness and the energy would begin to rectify itself. Then people in the village would start to feel better and get along for awhile. That's why scriptures have advised us to hang out with awakened beings. The awakened one could be a human being, a tree being or a street corner being. Associate with these beings, but don't become dependent on them. Don't worship them and put them on a pedestal. When we are regularly exposed to them, this rectification happens; this harmonization happens because of their state of consciousness. You wake yourself up. ~ Adyashanti -- Emptiness Dancing
The Light of Consciousness - The light of consciousness has no mind to change or alter anything. There is no sense that anything needs to change, but it does change. So the Taoist priest (mentioned yesterday) could just sit, and all would rectify. Everybody would just feel much better. Of course, not for very long because, if they haven't seen the sun inside themselves, once the awakened consciousness leaves the environment, everyone goes crazy again. But the priest is cool about that. The sun doesn't argue about where it's shining or why it was asked to shine. People awaken and transform only when they truly want to. Until that time all change is temporary. No one can force permanent awakening upon you. ~ Adyashanti -- Emptiness Dancing
"You cannot wake yourself.
Yet you can let yourself be wakened.
You can overlook your brother's dreams.
So perfectly can you forgive him his illusions
he becomes your savior from your dreams."
"No one can fail but your idea of him". (29/4/5)
"Do not ascribe a role to him that you imagine would bring happiness to you.
And do not try to hurt him when he fails to take the part that you assigned to him
in what you dream your life was meant to be." (29/4/6)
Into the soul's essence no speck can ever fall. Anything, however small, adhering to the soul, prevents your seeing me. We cannot see the visible except with the invisible. When all things are reduced to naught in you then ye shall see God. God is not seen except by blindness, not known except by ignorance, nor understood except by fools.
~ Meister Eckhart
Trying To Become Good - A number of spiritual teachings tell us to let go of fear and desire. But those spiritual practices are usually unsuccessful. They haven't gone to the root of the dysfunction. Fear, greed, and desire for power are not the ultimate causal factors. Trying to become a good or better human being sounds like a commendable and high-minded thing to do, yet it is an endeavor you cannot ultimately succeed in unless there is a shift in consciousness. This is because it is still part of the same dysfunction, a more subtle and rarified form of self-enhancement, of desire for more and a strengthening of one's conceptual identity, one's self-image. You do not become good by trying to be good, but by finding the goodness that is already within you, and allowing that goodness to emerge. But it can only emerge if something fundamental changes in your state of consciousness. ~ Eckhart Tolle -- A New Earth
The Presence That Really Is - Charisma can be very beautiful. But if a teacher is too charismatic, students tend to grasp. They tend to look only at the body and think, "What a wonderful person!" He or she might be a wonderful person, but it's not about a wonderful person. I see it as the greatest gift for me that neither one of my teachers were charismatic personalities. As soon as we move into the worship of the charisma or anything else, we start to unconsciously look past the presence that really is, the presence that can function through strong personalities and also through meek and mild personalities. It can function through great charisma and through almost no charisma. None of us has any choice about that part of it. It can function through the grandmother just as much as it can function through the Divine Mother guru. ~ Adyashanti -- Emptiness Dancing
Somewhere in your community or organization, groups of people are already doing things differently and better. To create lasting change, find these areas of positive deviance and fan their flames. ~ Jerry Sternin and Richard Pascale
Identification With Form - Ego is no more than this: identification with form, which primarily means thought forms. If evil has any reality -- and it has a relative, not an absolute, reality -- this is also its definition: complete identification with form -- physical forms, thought forms, emotional forms. This results in a total unawareness of my connectedness with the whole, my intrinsic oneness with every "other" as well as with the Source. This forgetfulness is original sin, suffering, delusion. When this delusion of utter separateness underlies and governs whatever I think, say, and do, what kind of world do I create? To find the answer to this, observe how humans relate to each other, read a history book, or watch the news on television tonight. ~ Eckhart Tolle -- A New Earth
We always feel inadequate in our relationship with our parents, but if we put God first, and see our adequacy in God, we will see our parents' adequacy also. And they'll be right there, healed and in heaven, with us. As we see ourselves, so shall we see our parents.
Every moment of need is an opportunity to increase in richness. If it is need that forces you in your contentment with Allah to call on Allah, and it is calling on Him that increases you in richness, then see His wisdom in creating for you a situation in which you find yourself needy.
Attracting Success - People unknowingly sabotage their own work when they withhold help or information from others or try to undermine them lest they become more successful or get more credit than "me." Cooperation is alien to the ego, except when there is a secondary motive. The ego doesn't know that the more you include others, the more smoothly things flow and the more easily things come to you. When you give little or no help to others or put obstacles in their path, the universe -- in the form of people and circumstances -- gives little or no help to you because you have cut yourself off from the whole. The ego's unconscious core feeling of "not enough" causes it to react to someone else's success as if that success had taken something away from "me." It doesn't know that your resentment of another person's success curtails your own chances of success. In order to attract success, you need to welcome it wherever you see it. Eckhart Tolle -- A New Earth
I anticipate a planet at peace—along with health, abundance, and love in my life and in the lives of all others—and I know that it’s moving in this direction. I know that for every act of apparent evil, there are a million acts of kindness. That’s where I place my attention, and that’s what I choose to give away. By doing so for the larger percentage of my days, my reward is a feeling of being in harmony with purpose. I have a song to sing, and by staying "in-Spirit" I’m able to sing it all day, every day. —Wayne Dyer
"All the words are just pointing you back to the Silence of our own Heart. It is not about hearing it and remembering something, figuring something out, keeping it as a mantra, or holding onto it in any way. It is just pointing you back to the Silence that is always here in the midst of every circumstance, every state, and every experience. If you are willing to listen to it, you are listening to your Self." -Eli
Enlightened Collectives - As the new consciousness emerges, some people will feel called upon to form groups that reflect the enlightened consciousness. These groups will not be collective egos. The individuals who make up these groups will have no need to define their identity through them. They no longer look to any form to define who they are....
Dissolving the human ego by bringing it into the light of awareness -- this will be one of the main purposes of these groups, whether they be enlightened businesses, charitable organizations, schools, or communities of people living together. Enlightened collectives will fulfill an important function in the arising of the new consciousness. Just as egoic collectives pull you into unconsciousness and suffering, the enlightened collective can be a vortex for consciousness that will accelerate the planetary shift. ~ Eckhart Tolle -- A New Earth
Awakening is Nothing Special - In the words of Zen, awakening is wu-shih, nothing special. The liberated sage has to live his life as a separate entity more or less in the same circumstances as before, suffers the same pain in the moment, as does the ordinary person, and enjoys the same pleasures. Nothing special. The only difference is that while he faces life, like anyone else, from moment to whatever the moment brings, he or she is always at peace with himself and in harmony with the 'other'. This is because he or she has been able to accept totally that everything is a happening according the Cosmic Law, and not any deed done by any individual entity. Thus whatever the happening, he or she does not blame anyone for it -- neither himself or herself nor the 'other'. Therefore, no guilt or shame no pride and arrogance about his or her own apparent actions; and no hatred or malice towards any 'other' for any of his or her actions. ~ Ramesh Balsekar -- Nugets of Wisdom
The Bringers of New Consciousness - In a world of role-playing personalities, those few people who don't project a mind-made image -- and there are some even on TV, in the media, and the business world -- but function from the deeper core of their Being, those who do not attempt to appear more than they are but are simply themselves, stand out as remarkable and are the only ones who truly make a difference in this world. They are the bringers of the new consciousness. Whatever they do becomes empowered because it is in alignment with the purpose of the whole. Their influence, however, goes far beyond what they do, far beyond their function. Their mere presence -- simple, natural, unassuming -- has a transformational effect on whoever they come into contact with. ~ Eckhart Tolle -- A New Earth
Be The Awareness - The primary cause of unhappiness is never the situation but your thoughts about it. Be aware of the thoughts you are thinking. Separate them from the situation, which is always neutral, which always is as it is. There is the situation or the fact, and here are my thoughts about it. Instead of making up stories, stay with the facts. For example, "I am ruined" is a story. It limits you and prevents you from taking effective action. "I have fifty cents left in my bank account" is a fact. Facing facts is always empowering. Be aware that what you think, to a large extent, creates the emotions that you feel. See the link between your thinking and your emotions. Rather than being your thoughts and emotions, be the awareness behind them. ~ Eckhart Tolle -- A New Earth
The Gargoyle At The Gate - Fear is often a part of the essential shift away from identification with concepts toward identification with the silent ground of being, because the shift threatens the known structure of life. Fear can have many different disguises, including anger, numbness, and despair. This existential terror is like the gargoyle at the gate to the sanctuary. Unless it is met and exposed as just another strategy of mind, it can keep you away from the revelation of the silent, aware peace at the core of your being. ~ Gangaji -- The Diamond In Your Pocket
The Sweet Truth - The great masters who have realized their essential nature encourage us to meet this terror of the dissolution of our individuality. The result of this meeting is paradoxical: the individual is dissolved and yet becomes more individually distinct. The uniqueness of consciousness is that consciousness can recognize itself through the individual form and simultaneously recognize itself as the animating force of everything. There comes a point of willingness to surrender individuality. In that willingness, what is actually released is conditioned individuality, and individual consciousness reveals itself to be unified with all consciousness. Yet, first must come the willingness to lose everything that is perceived to be the individual self. Fear arises only because the reality of this loss cannot be imagined. When the loss comes, it is actually very good news. The individual identity is revealed to be the husk that covers the sweet truth of self-realization. ~ Gangaji -- The Diamond In Your Pocket
A power can come into your life that is far greater than the ego, greater than the mind. All that is required to become free of the ego is to be aware of it, since awareness and ego are incompatible. Awareness is the power that is concealed within the present moment. This is why we may also call it Presence. The ultimate purpose of human existence, which is to say, your purpose, is to bring that power into this world. And this is also why becoming free of the ego cannot be made into a goal to be attained at some point in the future. Only Presence can free you of the ego, and you can only be present Now, not yesterday or tomorrow. Only Presence can undo the past in you and thus transform your state of consciousness. ~ Eckhart Tolle -- A New Earth
Seek Neither Provision for the Future not Refuge from the Past.
Be ye Content with the Truth of ME in the Moment.
"The problem that you have is that always the idea of individual transformation has been expurgated from the established church, which maintains that salvation comes through a mutual association of mind, rather than the coming through transformation to a Whole Mind."
"It is absolutely imperative that you as an individual human being,
seriously entertain the possibility that knowledge can be gained
by an actual mind transformative process.”
"Here we can recognize that salvation occurs when one person meets another,
meaning if you can save another person by seeing his truth,
and realizing you and he are one being,
then both of you will be healed." (Yasuko)
If necessary take time to be still and meditate on a seemingly difficult situation until all difficulties dissolve in the stillness, with the Light of Truth beamed onto it. Then see it upheld in great Love. Nothing can withstand this tremendous power. ~ With love and many blessings, Eileen
When you don't cover up the world with words and labels, a sense of the miraculous returns to your life that was lost a long time ago when humanity, instead of using thought, became possessed by thought.A depth returns to your life. Things regain their newness, their freshness. And the greatest miracle is the experiencing of your essential self as prior to any words, thoughts, mental labels, and images. For this to happen, you need to disentangle your sense of I, of Beingness, from all the things it has become mixed up with, that is to say, identified with. That disentanglement is what 'awakening' is about. ~ Eckhart Tolle -- A New Earth
Body awareness not only anchors you in the present moment,
it is a doorway out of the prison that is the ego.
It also strengthens the immune system and the body's ability to heal itself.
Eckhart Tolle -- A New Earth
Begin with the desire of your heart. Open your heart and ask for God's Help. Allow your mind to rest on the idea that your willingness, your desire for peace of mind, is your invitation to God's Help. All the Help you could ever need is available to you with this simple invitation. With this invitation miracles will be performed through you, your trust in God will strengthen and grow, and your fear of Love will diminish and disappear. When you welcome Love it will return to your awareness. Love is What you are and What Everything and Everyone is. Love is a Constant State of Mind. When you recognize this fact, you have remembered your Self and God. It all begins with the invitation for God's Help. ~ David Hoffmeister
If you can see that every person, every character within your life, is but a thought within your mind, then you can choose to love them instead of fear them. And that changes everything. ~Our Holy Spirit
Ego thoughts are not unique to any one person. Neither are they any big deal. They are simply the small part of the Universal Mind that decided to try on the costume of separateness in a short play of adventure and then believed the drama to be real. Now has come the time to remember: We are not the ego. ~Ragna
Peace is a pleasure given to the Son of God as His Reality. Peace is your Reality. It is yours now, a Gift given You by God, and so it cannot be taken away. Accept this Gracious Gift. It is Yours. ~One Who Knows
Your Natural State of Well-Being - Don't seek happiness. If you seek it, you won't find it, because seeking is the antithesis of happiness. Happiness is ever elusive, but freedom from unhappiness is attainable now, by facing what is rather than making up stories about it. Unhappiness covers up your natural state of well-being and inner peace, the source of true happiness. ~ Eckhart Tolle -- A New Earth
A Good Test -"If you think you are so enlightened," Ram Dass said, "go and spend a week with your parents."
That is good advice. The relationship with your parents is not only the primordial relationship that sets the tone for all subsequent relationships, it is also a good test for your degree of Presence. The more shared past there is in a relationship, the more present you need to be; otherwise, you will be forced to relive the past again and again. ~ Eckhart Tolle -- A New Earth
"Inspiration is the art of imbibing, the art of self-realization; the art of adjusting the individual mind to that of the Universal Mind; the art of attaching the proper mechanism to the source of all power; the art of differentiating the formless into form; the art of becoming a channel for the flow of Infinite Wisdom; the art of visualizing perfection; the art of realizing the omnipresence of Omnipotence." ~ 20/15 - The Master-Key System, Haanel, 1912
"Without an inner life we are at the mercy of our surroundings."
Ali, A poignant and beautiful tradition for you:
The Holy Prophet of Allah has said to his companions, "How I long for my brothers who have not come yet." They said: "Are we not your Brothers, O Messenger of Allah?" He replied: "No, you are my Companions . . . how I long for my brothers who have not come yet." They said: "Are we not your Brothers, O Messenger of Allah?" He replied: "No, you are my companions. How I long for my brothers who have not come yet!" They asked: "Who are your brothers?" He replied: "A people who come at the end of time, of whom the active one shall have seventy times as much reward as you have." They asked: "Seventy times as much as we have or they have?" He replied: "As you have." They asked: "Why?" He replied: "Because you find assistance in doing good, and they find no assistance." ~ Lateef
